Why come to church?
At our church, Christians gather to receive the gifts our Lord has promised—seeking forgiveness, mercy, and the assurance that their prayers are heard by the Lamb of God. We come to experience the healing presence of Christ, to be nourished by His life-giving Word, and to partake in Holy Baptism and the Lord’s Supper, which free us from sin and make us new. As we prepare for the Divine Service, we reflect on the blessings we have received, examine our lives for areas needing forgiveness, healing, and restoration, and approach the Altar of the Lord with humble gratitude. By praying according to God’s Word and thoughtfully considering our challenges and triumphs, we trust in the promise that the Lord will mend broken relationships, bring healing, and pour out His abundant blessings.
